id - return user identity

SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION

The id utility writes information about the given user to standard output. If no user was specified, the id utility defaults to the current user.

OPTIONS

-G

Output all different group IDs (effective, real and supplementary).

-g

Output only the effective group ID.

-n

Output the name instaed of the numeric ID.

-r

Output the real ID instead of the effective ID.

-u

Output only the effective user ID.
