DESCRIPTION

The chmod utility changes the mode bits of each file named by the file operand.

OPTIONS

-R

Recursively change the file mode bits.

OPERANDS

The following operands are supported:

mode

Represents the change to be made to the file mode bits of each file named by one of the file operands.

file

A pathname of a file whoose file mode bits shall be modified.
